Joost Lawyten (Netherlands), who almost failed to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics despite qualifying for the event

due to the decision of his country's Olympic Committee, has finally obtained a ticket to Paris after a legal battle.

“Today is a very special day,” Rawitten said on his social media on the 3rd. “The court ruled that the Dutch Olympic

Committee must include Rawitten in the Olympic team roster.”

The legal action against Rawitten began when the Dutch Olympic Committee announced that it would not allow athletes

who were deemed uncompetitive to compete in the 추천 Olympics.

Although Rawitten qualified for the Paris Olympics on his own, the Dutch Olympic Committee decided not to send him to

the Olympics because they thought it would be difficult for him to place in the top ranks even if he went to the Olympics.

Then, Rawitten announced on his social media that he 'cannot accept this decision' and after taking legal action, he

regained his Olympic eligibility.

The Netherlands had four players who qualified for the Paris Olympics in golf, including Darius Vandriel for the men's

team, and Debi Weber and Arner Van Dam for the women's team, but decided to send only Van Dam due to

competitiveness.

"It is not clear whether the ruling also applies to Pandriel and Weber," Reuters reported.

Born in 1986, Rawitun has six career wins on the DP World Tour.
